Descriptions

The works cover the completion of the design and construction as follows:The HLF works comprise the refurbishment of discrete parts and elements of the building, and fall within the following areas:— Lower Hall reconfiguration and refurbishment;— Town Hall Road re-landscaping;— Conservation of key heritage features;— Sustainability upgrades;— Repairs to external envelope;— Extensive Mechanical and Electrical Installation upgrade.The ACE works comprises works to the following areas, which include more substantial alterations to the building:— Opening up the existing courtyard;— New offices at second floor level;— New lift and improved ancillary facilities for the public and artists;— Improved acoustic and technical infrastructure in performance spaces;— Sustainability upgrades;— Extensive Mechanical and Electrical Installation works;The project is to be carried out under a design and build procurement route nova-ting the Architect and Structural Engineer.
