Descriptions
SPECIFIC IKC and Sêr Solar (College of Engineering, Swansea University) require a slot die coater which will be capable of depositing functional liquids to produce solar cells of 100 mm width or greater. The coater must be capable of depositing and drying striped films of dry film thickness of the range 50 nm – 10 µm onto both rigid and flexible substrates. This equipment will allow development of small photovoltaic prototypes achieved via scalable printing routes in order to prove materials and processes prior to implementation on a larger scale pilot line.
