Construction has recently started of BBC Wales new broadcast centre in Central Square Cardiff. We are looking for a photographer to capture this project.The BriefThere are two aspects to the need for on-going project photography. There is the actual documentation of the emergence of the new building – so, a record of how the externals and internals evolve over the months.A second aspect is to chart the emergence of Central Square, in a more conversational, people-focused and thematic way. There is the potential to capture images of the locality as it changes, the characters and their stories. We meet the people actually building and fitting out our new home and those who will be our new neighbours.At a later date, the brief may be expanded to include photography around the final days of Broadcasting House and Ty Oldfield in Llandaff.ProposalEngage a photographer(s) who is/are able to chart the building and fitting out of our new HQ in Central Square.Using the materialThis material will be used to chart and communicate the importance of this development and the consequent regenerating of a key part of Wales’ capital city. The photographs will be used both internally within the BBC and for external communications and engagement purposes.CostsPlease quote against a core requirement of 30 days over a 4 year period, noting additional hourly, half daily and daily rates beyond the core requirement.ExperiencePlease note what experience you have working on construction sites.
