Descriptions
The council requires the appointed contractor to design, procure, commission and handover a new 2-story extension located at the westernmost wing of the existing school. The existing single storey wing will be partially demolished, removing ancillary rooms, small lavatory provision and associated circulation. The 4 existing classrooms contained within this wing are to be retained. The demolished portion is then to be replaced by a new 2 storey element, comprising 8 additional classrooms, 2 support classrooms (each divisible to provide smaller break out spaces), 4 groups of lavatory provision, horizontal and vertical circulation (incorporating a lift to the first floor) and ancillary space for cleaners, storage and such. Associated remodelling of existing classrooms and reception / circulation areas is also required along with minor external works.
