Seven Sisters Community Council have recently been awarded funding from the Rural Community Development Fund (RCDF)for improvements to their Recreation Ground. It currently has some fixed play equipment in the form of a swing bay, a Zip Wire, a very steep tubular embankment slide and two sculptured wooden hippopotamus. Ancillary features include a Bandstand which is in a good state of repair and two benches veneered with a mosaic of ceramic tiles. Tenders are invited from playground companies to rejuvenate the Recreation Ground with an emphasis on provision for 12-16 years olds. Any new design should include for new fixed play equipment, Safety Surfacing, provision for ball games and making good areas disturbed by installation(with turf as appropriate).
