Awarded
Board and Subcommittee External Evaluation
Descriptions
The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) is an arms-length body (ALB) of the Department of Work and Pensions. It is an organisation whose statutory objective is to develop and co-ordinate a national strategy to improve people's financial capabilities. The MaPS Board has responsibility for the overall strategic direction and performance of MaPS. The Board structure comprises of the Main Board and six sub-committees. The effectiveness of the Board will be reviewed on a three year cycle, the first two years internally, and then externally in the third year. Therefore MaPS requires an external agency to review the MaPS Board and its sub-committees. This will be an independent evaluation of the Board and sub-committee composition, the existing administration of the Board, and how effectively members work together to achieve business objectives.
