Breakfast Clubs
Descriptions
The Breakfast Club Services programme will contribute to improvements in the health and education of children by encouraging innovation and supporting at least 1,500 state-funded primary, secondary and special schools and Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) to develop and deliver their own self-sustaining and accessible breakfast clubs.It will target the most disadvantaged schools and families in Opportunity Areas to ensure those most in need receive support to establish a breakfast club. The programme will then look to provide support to establish a breakfast club for pupils in disadvantaged schools in other areas. There will also be investment in developing sustainable breakfast club provision for schools in the longer-term, including through facilitating greater collaboration across schools and supporting organisations across the sector.
