Bridgend County Borough Council Information Sharing Event for the Delivery of Domiciliary Care
Descriptions
Bridgend County Borough Council would like to invite organisations to an information sharing event regarding an upcoming tender to establish a Framework Agreement for the delivery of domiciliary care services across the county borough. The Council’s vision, as set out in the Councils Corporate Plan (2013-17), is to work together to improve lives within the county borough. This will be achieved by working together to ensure that people within the county borough are healthier, benefit from a stronger and more prosperous economy, are engaged and empowered to achieve their own potential and that the county borough is a great place to live, work and visit. As such, we are looking to work with originations that support and promote our objectives of delivering person centred and outcome focused enabling care and support that supports prevention and wellbeing in accordance with the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014. In this way, individuals requiring domiciliary care will be enabled, empowered and supported to live as independently as possible in their own homes and communities in order to minimise the level of need for the next phase of support, reduce the likelihood of admission into long-term care and/or hospital admission/readmission.Domiciliary care services are provided to a range of vulnerable individuals that are assessed as requiring personal and practical support within their own homes and meet the Council’s eligibility criteria. The required services will be predominately provided to older people, a proportion of which have dementia. Domiciliary care provision will also be required for people with physical and/or sensory disabilities, learning disabilities, mental ill health and substance misuse needs. The purpose of this event will be to provide organisations with an opportunity to understand the Council’s future commissioning intentions for the delivery of domiciliary care within the county borough and to share information on the upcoming opportunity for organisations to enter into a Framework Agreement with Bridgend County Borough Council to deliver domiciliary care across the county borough. Please note this event is separate from the recent information sharing and service modelling workshop that took place on 10th July, which focused on the development of a future service model for domiciliary care and the opportunities and challenges currently facing domiciliary care providers. There are a limited number of places available, therefore a maximum of 2 representatives per organisation may attend. Allocation of placements will be given in order of the date interest is registered, Organisations that have not registered their interest to attend are unable to attend on the day.The event will take place on August 3rd 2015, 10:00am – 12:30pm at Coed Y Mwstwr, BridgendPlease register your interest by following the below linkhttps://wales.business-events.org.uk/en/events/commissioning-independent-domiciliary-care-information-sharing-event/NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=30841.
