Bridgend County Borough Council wishes to procure a range of services to support the delivery of the Welsh Government funded Flying Start programme.Flying Start programme is a Welsh Government funded initiative that aims to provide families with better opportunities for their children.As one of Welsh Government’s top priorities in the poverty agenda, the programme ensures that children across the county have the opportunity to develop, play and learn in readiness for school.The core elements of the Flying Start programme include:• Funded high-quality, part-time childcare for 2-3 year olds• Enhanced Health Visiting service• Access to parenting programmes• Early language developmentThe Flying Start areas in Bridgend County Borough include identified streets in Betws, Blackmill, Brackla, Cefn Glas, Caerau, Cornelly, Lewistown, Maesteg Park, Oakwood Estate, Plasnewydd, Sarn and Wildmill.Prior to any procurement a 'How to Tender Workshop' is being provided by Bridgend County Borough Council with the support of Business Wales to educate providers on how to complete tenders electronically.This event is in advance of any procurement exercise, and as part of the engagement process Bridgend County Borough Council seeks the views of providers to help inform the service models.Details of the service outcomes and general parameters will be available on the day for discussion.The date of the event is Thursday 18th June 2015 - The Waterton Centre, Bridgend - 10am - 12 noon.A maximum of 2 personnel per organisation can attend.If you would like to book a place for this event please click on the link below that will navigate directly to the booking formhttps://wales.business-events.org.uk/en/events/bridgend-county-borough-council-provider-engagement-session-for-flying-start/NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=26868.
