This is an Invitation to Tender for the Provision of a Bridgend Town Centre Masterplan to Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC).An overview of the requirement is as follows:Phase 1: This commission is to develop and complete a masterplan for Bridgend Town Centre, which will include key town centre development sites, including Bridgend Train Station, which would allow for a planned approach to future development and inward investment.Within the masterplan an action plan of projects is to be included in order to identify and prioritise projects. As part of phase one, an options appraisal is to be developed for Bridgend Railway Station area.The Masterplan will be used as a dynamic long-term planning document that will offer a theoretical layout to guide future regeneration and growth. It will provide analysis, recommendations, and proposals for the town centre. It will complement the Local Development Plan which is currently being prepared for the Borough and build upon the Bridgend Town Centre Framework that has been recently produced. It will be a priority that the Masterplan will be adopted as future Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG).The masterplans purpose is to ensure that Bridgend builds on its many strengths, so that alongside recent investment, there is a catalyst for future growth that incorporates town centre mixed use regeneration.Phase 2: Is to provide options appraisals for further identified projects from Phase 1. Phase 2 will only start once Phase 1 is completed and will be subject to funding availability. The number of options appraisals developed will be subject to funding.Tenderers should note that the Phase 2 Contract Award shall be solely at the Authority’s discretion.The detail of the scope of work is described in Appendix 1 - Specification (Project Brief).See Tender Documents.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
