A Rural Conversion Grant will support the conversion of redundant or underutilised buildings in rural areas into usable workshop or office space to enable new and existing businesses to grow and expand in rural areas. Provision of cutting edge ICT within the unit and BREEAM excellence building standards will be key criteria in selecting suitable projects. The project will provide a minimum of 9 grants to a maximum of £30,000 each with a grant rate not exceeding 50% of the eligible works.A Town Improvement Grant scheme for Monmouth will provide support for owners of commercial properties located around the historic gated Monnow Bridge to improve the external appearance of their buildings thereby enhancing the conservation area. The Bridge area is the main gateway for tourism in Monmouth. The scheme will provide a minimum of 3 grants to a maximum of £30,000 with a grant rate not exceeding 50% of eligible works. These improved properties then become a catalyst for further physical improvement of this part of the conservation area.The tender is for a delivery agent to promote, control, and monitor progress of the grant programmes.
