This contract is SUBJECT TO GRANT APPROVAL.We are looking for an experienced main contractor who will work under the direction of the project manager (The Architect). The job consists of multi trade requirements including the following:-Ground works (heavy plant required), roofing, carpentry, plumbing, electrical. building, insulating, plastering, decorating.In brief, the works consists of the refurbishment of an old school with two extensions to be built. Ground source heating coupled with underfloor heating is required along with the installation of solar PV panels. As the main contractor, it would be your responsibility to assess and employ suitable sub-contractors. Suitable insurance cover is a prerequisite. All work is to be carried out according to the plans, guidance of the approved planning permission and compliance with a bat licence requirement. The contractor will be responsible for liaising with the ecologist and the selected alarm systems engineers.To assist us in the selection process and to comply with grant regulations the following additional information is required:-Please provide details of significant sub-contractors and suppliers – for example Photovoltaic panels and Heat pump manufacturers and installersPlease provide information about previous projects of a similar scale:• description and relevance to the tendered project;• role of the tenderer;• project cost• duration of project. – Were deadlines met and if not what were the reasons for extensionsPlease provide references from previous clients – we will need to contact these clients to validate the references.Can you describe how you will deliver the project: The information required shall include the following:•program of works and schedule•division of works into subcontracts;•reporting and recording systems•management of sub-contractors.
