As part of the upgrade of the Bristol Legible City wayfinding street furniture in Bristol ourr supplier has produced the upgrade kits necessary to replace the mapping on the streetr furniture. These upgrade kits have been in storage at the manufacturers since early 2019. Wer are now in a position to install the kits. The manufacturer estimates each installation will costr circa £1000. There are 40 sites that need work. We do not have a contract in place with ther manufacturer for installation. Given the manufacturer has the kit and knows how to install it,r it seems to make most sense to contract them directly to install. it. There would be nor advantage to BCC in tendering this work out.
