NHS Wales Informatics are undertaking a review of the current accreditations for People Management practices. It is important as an organisation that we recognise the importance of applying a variety of management systems which support the organisation in delivering a professional service.This procurement seeks to implement a new Management system; published BS 76000 Human resource - Valuing people- Management system - Requirements and guidance. This new standard was introduced in 2015 following public consultation and in partnership with several Workforce & OD professional organisations (including ACAS, CIPD)BS 76000 is based on the core structure and common text developed by International Organisation for Standardisation, more commonly known as ISO, for all of its management system standards. This will enable organizations with other such standards in place, to implement and integrate BS 76000 into its wider management systems in a simpler way.The values of NHS Wales Informatics Service were designed by staff and embedding and living the values are currently a key objective for all NHS organisations across Wales.This is a new management standard and this would be a first for NHS Wales as the accreditation has not yet been awarded to any public sector organisation in Wales.Whilst the framework and structure is similar to other ISO Standards and therefore have some transferable experience, it is key that we obtain professional consultancy services to assist us with preparing for this assessment to become the first organisation in Wales to achieve this accreditation.
