The session will include the opportunity for suppliers to meet with sector-specific procurement specialists to understand future opportunities and how to bid, including support with registering on the Council’s tendering portal. The morning will include: - CWC Procurement Presentation: 15 minutes - Reducing the barriers to Council Procurement - Impact of the Procurement Act 2023 - Sector-specific round table discussion: 30 minutes - Feedback and wrap up: 15 minutes - Networking: 30 minutes Public Sector Landscape: Local government is at the forefront of regeneration and placemaking, creating communities that enrich and enhance the lives of citizens. The Council’s supply chain has a pivotal role to play in supporting the Council’s strategy and objectives, and partnering with small and medium enterprises is a key foundation of this.
