East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust operates across a wide geographical area, with its four main Hospital sites being the Royal Blackburn Hospital, Burnley General Hospital, Accrington Victoria Hospital, Pendle Hospital and Clitheroe hospital. The Trust operates a full catering service for staff, patients and visitors at its Blackburn site, other hospital sites operate on a smaller scale but still provide food and beverages. The Trust is looking to tender for the supply of Milk to all five Hospital sites and requires a high level of responsiveness from its catering suppliers. The ability to be agile and flexible is essential to facilitate the on time delivery of an everyday essential item for the Trust. The provision of Milk is of particular importance as it is used daily in a variety of ways within each Hospital setting. With this in mind a consistently high quality product is required and the Trust is keen to work with its providers to maintain continuity of supply, high standards and a sustainable way of working for all parties.
