Cableways Inspection and Servicing Framework Agreement 2020-24

Descriptions

The framework is a new procurement approach for the provision of the inspection and service maintenance of cableways, bringing the service requirement together throughout England. Cableways are used to measure open river current flow of water and generally used where it is not possible to carry out the activity safely by wading into the river. There are 153 sites that require inspection, service and remedial maintenance. In addition, the framework will incorporate the surveying of all English Cableways sites to create an operational manual for each site, and a single asset log for English Cableways. It is proposed that a procurement is conducted via an open procedure in accordance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCRs) to develop a national framework agreement for a period of 4 years based on an initial placement of 2 years with the option to extend placements for a third and fourth year. The framework will comprise of 3 regional Lot’s (Northern, Midlands, and Southern).
