CAERLEON ROMAN FORTRESS BARRACKS, PHASE II, SITE FENCING AND PUBLIC ACCESS

Project to consist;(a) Supply & fix approximately 200m of galvanised steel estate type fencing around the boundary areas of the Roman Fortress Barracks site and the adjacent paddock field.(b) Removal of approximately 65m of existing timber fencing and replace with new timber bollards.(c) Relocation of existing pathway and signage leading into the Fortress Barracks.(d) Make good to eroded ground conditions to match existing levels.Contractors must have previous experience of working and erecting fencing within ancient monument sites of high archaeological sensitivity. Detailed evidence of previous experience and examples of past project(s) will be required. Contractors failing to provide the required information will not be invited to tender for this particular project.The awarding Authority reserves the right to request parent company and/or other guarantees of performance and financial liabilityPayment terms will be indicated in the contract documents. Tenders to be priced in Sterling. Payment made in Sterling only.No special legal form required but joint and several liability assumed by all group bidders before acceptance.The Contract will have an option to extend the duration up to a period of a further 1 month
