Care and Repair Services — Housing Scheme of Assistance

The Care and Repair Service is required primarily for the purpose of assisting people (60 plus) and/or people with a disability who either own their own home or are tenants with the private rented sector in Orkney. The service will assist with home improvements, alterations and repair which, as far as possible, enable clients of the service to remain within their own homes and communities. The key areas of the care and repair service will include:— the provision of information and advice,— assist with repair and maintenance work,— assisting with disability adaptation work,— small repairs service,— home check and the contract management of competent subcontractors.
