Carriageway Surface Dressing, Footway Slurry Sealing and Associated Services

1.The Council wishes to enter into a contract for the provision of Surface Dressing, footway slurry sealing and associated services within the boundaries of Powys County Council.The contract will be for 1 year with an option to extend for a further year at the Council's discretion2.The works will also include associated footway, kerbs and road marking works but will not be restricted to this if other works are required. For example works involving dropped kerbs (for vehicle and pedestrian crossings), traffic calming etc will be included if required.3.The contractor will be required to assist Powys County Council in co-ordination and traffic management and may be required to offer expertise in respect of preferred treatments.4.It is proposed to carry out the surface dressing elements of works between May 2011 and September 2011.5.The main subject of this tender will comprise general carriageway surface dressing works for the period. The envisaged programme is budget dependent. It is anticipated that the budget will be finalised by the end of March 2011 and communicated at the earliest opportunity to tenderers
