The establishment of a Framework Agreement for the provision of Cash Collection Services. Powys County Council is acting on behalf of the Welsh Purchasing Consortium (WPC) which consists of 16 Local Authorities:Blaenau Gwent County Borough CouncilBridgend County Borough CouncilCaerphilly County Borough CouncilCardiff CouncilCarmarthenshire County CouncilCeredigion County CouncilMerthyr Tydfil County Borough CouncilMonmouthshire County CouncilNeath Port Talbot County Borough CouncilNewport City CouncilPembrokeshire County CouncilPowys County CouncilRhondda Cynon Taff County Borough CouncilCity and County of SwanseaTorfaen County Borough CouncilThe Vale of Glamorgan CouncilThe Council wishes to establish a Framework Agreement with a number of contractors for the Provision of Cash Collection Services and cash deposits. The Services to be provided by Contractors under the Framework Agreement will consist of three elements;•The provision of cash collection services from Council Buildings, or as specified by individual authorities;•The provision of a cash delivery service to some Council establishments, according to individual authority's requirements;•The provision of cash collections from pay and display machines, and the subsequent bulk processing of cash; according to individual authority’s requirements .The framework agreement will be established with suitably qualified and experienced contractors to provide Cash Collection and cash deposit services to Contracting Authorities. Providers will be required to be Security Industry Approved (SIA) approved contractors and have obtained BSI 7858:2006+A2:2009 Security screening of individuals employed in a security environment and BS7872:2002 Manned security services - Cash-in-transit services (collection and delivery) accreditation or comparable. Individual WPC member authorities will be required to run a further competition with Service Framework Providers in accordance with this Framework Agreement for the provision of the services in their locality. Contracts will be awarded by individual member authorities under the framework agreement.The Framework will be for three years with the option to extend for a further year.
