Descriptions
Suitably qualified professional caterers are invited to register their interest in being invited to tender for the provision of catering services to Assembly Members and staff of the National Assembly for Wales at Ty Hywel, Senedd and the Pierhead Building, Cardiff Bay.The contract will commence on 1st September 2011 and will be for a period of five years.The requirement is for an in house catering service of hot meals (currently breakfast, lunch and evening meals but may be subject to review), snacks and beverages, and vending facilities using the catering facilities within the buildings. In addition, the contractor will also cater for meetings and functions in all buildings. All of the facilities are serviced from the main kitchen in Ty Hywel. The current total number of building occupants is in the region of 800 although numbers vary from day to day and from session periods to recess periods and no guarantee can be given on the levels of users. Full details of service requirements will be provided in the specification and tender documents.It is anticipated that a maximum of 5-8 service providers will be invited to tender. Service providers are required to deliver all services but the Assembly reserves the right to divide the service into lots.
