The TfW Station Projects team are committed to improving staff facilities across Wales and Borders network which will provide adequate rest and break areas and facilities for Operational train crew, Station staff and TfW Catering staff which are fit for purpose.The purpose of this speculative notice is to alert the market of a potential upcoming tender opportunity, to be advertised as a sub-threshold Works tender on sell2wales. TfW recognise the pressures facing suppliers in ensuring that they have adequate notice to line up resource to bid for work. TfW therefore want to take this opportunity to provide advance notice of this tender opportunity for improvement works of staff facilities at Chester Station.Chester Phase 1b:Scope:Refurbishment of listed building at Chester station to repurpose space for colleague facilities to provide new Resource office, locker room and shower facilities. The works will include decoration, new flooring, mechanical and electrical works such as HVAC system install, new lighting and installation of showers, together with the construction of a new Resource Office with partitioning works.Tender Period: 8th December 23 – 12th January 24 – no extensions can be granted however please see below for pre-tender engagement.Schedule:•Notify preferred contract – 26th January 24•Contract Award – 5th February 24•Completion Date –target completion of on-site works by 31st March 24.Value range: £75k-£100kDue to the timescale constraints, the tender period is limited to 5 weeks Inc. of Christmas. However, on Thurs 30th November at 1pm a pre-tender call will be held to run through the designs and construction plan.
