Children and Young People's Health and Wellbeing Questionnaire-This is not a call for Competition- Market Testing Questionnaire

Descriptions

Since 2000, Dudley Council has commissioned a health, wellbeing, lifestyle and behaviour questionnaire for local children and young people. This questionnaire has been carried out biennially in mainstream primary and secondary education settings, colleges, in settings for children with additional needs, and alternative provisions. The questionnaire The questionnaire is open for all education settings to complete. This year, the questionnaire was completed by 6326 pupils in year 5, 6, 8 and 10 in 54 education settings. Previous questionnaires delivered in mainstream educational settings have been aimed at pupils in year 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 13. In settings for children with additional needs, the questionnaire is adapted to be suitable to the needs of these pupils. This version of the questionnaire will then be completed by all pupils who are able to do so. Some students complete this with additional support from staff, and a parent questionnaire is also sent home to capture further insights. Pupil responses to the questionnaire are completed anonymously electronically, or on paper. Completed questionnaires are coordinated through the provider, in partnership with Dudley Council as the commissioner, and an identified lead in participating education settings. Collated data is reported according to pupil age, sex, key stage, geographical area, identified inequalities and demographics, with consideration of trends over time. Each participating education setting receives a confidential report, and raw data for their individual pupil population. Dudley Council, as the commissioner, also receives reports outlining common themes and key findings across the whole borough and raw data for the whole participating population. All data is stored on a website for education settings to access themselves, with the ability to analyse their own data further, comparing their setting to the rest of the Dudley data and also compare their latest data to previous years data for trend analysis. This exercise is a soft market test that will inform potential commissioning arrangements and procurement of a Children and Young People's Health and Wellbeing Questionnaire contract. Your responses will be considered in the redesign of the service and the refinement of the service specification, as well as the terms and conditions of the contract. We are seeking written responses to the questions set out below. Whilst there is no obligation to answer all questions, and all answers are for information purposes only, we would encourage your cooperation to respond to as many of the questions as possible. The deadline for the submission of your completed questionnaire is Friday 25th October 2024. The information gathered from this exercise will help shape future proposals including any poten...
