The Council is inviting tenders for the provision of Children and Young Peoples 0-19 Years.Public Health Services.Derbyshire County Council is commissioning services to provide public health elements of the Healthy Child Programme for children and young people (0-19 years) within Derbyshire. These elements comprise of the provision of universal reviews, health promotion, early identification of need and delivery of targeted services that respond to the needs identified, working as part of the wider children and young adults team.The key services included in this provision are:— Public Health Nursing 0-19 to lead delivery of the Healthy Child Programme;— Children and Younger Adults' Health Promotion Service to support schools and further education as healthy settings, and ensure workforce development in relation to health outcomes;— Vision, hearing and NCMP screening — as part of the 5-19 core offer to early identify lifestyle and sensory problems in children entering school;— Smoking prevention — to prevent the uptake of smoking in young people and reduce the prevalence in 15 year-olds.Please note: the contract value stated includes indicative figures relating to Health Visiting provision, which will be transferred to the Local Authority in October 2015, and may be subject to change following the agreement of the final transfer figures.
