Capital Region Tourism on behalf of regional stakeholders is seeking to develop a practical tourism framework for the emerging South East Wales City Region.For over 13 years there has been a regional tourism strategy in place for South East Wales. That strategy was last refreshed in 2007 and expires in 2013. The view is that, in future, to maximise impact, all parts of Wales should be working solely within the framework and action plan of ‘Partnership for Growth’Given however the reality of the emerging City Region, and the identification of tourism as an early area of attention it will be important for relevant stakeholders within the city region to understand which elements of the national strategy can best be delivered here, and by whom, and what proportion of the overall growth target should be attributable to South East Wales.We are therefore looking for a consultant to work with CRT and other stakeholders in the City Region to develop a City Region Tourism Action Framework by 20th December 2013.(Refer to attached document for full details)
