Contracts for individual design team consultants for design services required for the design of the new City South Campus Phase 3.Central to the University's estates strategy is the migration, consolidation and centralisation of current teaching activity into and around 2 ‘core’ campuses: City Centre and City South; supporting the academic mission and portfolio of new academic structure for the University. Migration to the intended two campus strategy will mature over the next 3-5 years and proposals for the new Phase 3 will be developed in line with this strategy. Existing facilities will remain at NTI, Millennium Point, Parkside, Bournville, School of Jewellery, and the School of Art at Margaret Street in addition to student accommodation and sports venues facilities at City North.The City South campus comprises 5.49 ha and is situated with the Edgbaston Conservation Area. The site consists of areas of high quality landscaping and numerous attractive trees, particularly around the site boundaries. This new building will house The School of Education who are moving from our Perry Barr Campus and the expansion of the Faculty of Health into science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) subjects. We envisage that this building will be connected to the existing Seacole Building to allow the library expansion and accommodate the integration of staff from 2 faculties.Design Consultancy Services are split into 4 lots:— Lot 1 Architect, Lead Consultant, Catering, Landscape, Wayfinding and BIM Manager,— Lot 2 Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, Fire, Acoustics, Security, ICT, Part L Consultant,— Lot 3 Civil and Structural Consultant,— Lot 4 Cost Consultant, CDM Co-ordinator, Rights to Light Surveyor.The Project Manager responsible for the delivery of the project and the management of the delivery process will be a dedicated Birmingham City University Project Management team.
