Forest Enterprise Scotland (FES) manages the National Forest Estate in Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Ministers.To carry out the management of the National Forest Estate the FES requires Civil Engineering Works to support access to, and management of the National Forest Estate.The core civil engineering works are to deliver the construction and maintenance of the forest road network and associated infrastructure such as harvesting facilities and extractives sites (quarries). The forest roads activity is critical to and driven by the harvesting and marketing of timber. It also supports all other access and management activities. This includes providing a high quality of public access.
