Engineering works and construction works. Construction work for highways, roads. Fencing, railing and safety equipment installation work. Environmental improvement works. Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (see www.espo.org) on behalf of Cambridge City Council are currently inviting applications from suitably experienced Contractors who wish to be considered as approved contractors on a framework for the provision of various civil engineering, highways and other specialised works and services within Cambridge City.The objective of the procurement is to identify and appoint multiple contractors to provide the type of works indicated under the five lots below (which are explained in greater detail in the PQQ);Lot 1: Minor Civil Engineering / Highways Works.Lot 2: Major Civil Engineering / Highways Works.Lot 3: Soft Landscape.Lot 4: Fencing and Timber Works.Lot 5: Watercourses.As a framework arrangement is required, framework agreements will be awarded to multiple contractors for each Lot. The Council anticipates that there will be three contractors appointed for each Lot.Two year ‘framework' agreements (commencing in April 2014) will be established with the successful contractors, with an option to extend by up to 24 months subject to performance and value for money.It is envisaged that the applicants selected to receive the invitation to tender (forming the tender select list) for each Lot will include approximately six (6) applicants, with these applicants being those that have obtained the highest scores following evaluation of their application forms and are therefore ranked one to six for each lot.
