Descriptions
This tender relates to various civil/ground works projects throughout the Athlone Institute of Technology Campus.The works consist of a variety of Civil/Ground works, including, but not limited to the following: (1) Civil works on roads/paths including works/repairs of existing (including tarring, asphalt etc.);(2) Civil works on storm water/foul water/land drainage systems including works/repairs to existing;(3)Civil works on underground services ducting including works/repairs to existing;(4) Carry out site investigation, i.e. trail holes, bore holes, trench excavations;(5) Underpinning if required.(6) Landscaping and street furniture as part of the civil package ;(7)Construction of car parks;(8) Civil works to campus playing pitches;new and existing(9) Works to new and existing retaining walls.(10)Emergency repair works to mains or services at short notice (11) Any other large civil engineering type projects The Contracting Authority intends to enter into a multi-party Framework Agreement for Civil/Ground Works for Athlone institute of Technology,Dublin Road Westmeath The number of Contractors will be a maximum of 5 (subject to that number meeting the minimum criteria and rules). This Framework will cover the main campus and East campus of the Athlone Institute of Technology.The estimated cumulative expenditure of call-off contracts under the framework agreement over its lifetime (4 years) may be in the region of €2million - €3million, however it is anticipated that the majority of contracts awarded under this Framework will be between €100,000 and €500,000. It is emphasised that the figure is provided strictly for indicative purposes only as there is no guaranteed expenditure under the framework.Drawdown from the Framework will be by mini-competition only.Even if this Framework Agreement is established, the Contracting Authority, may procure the work in other ways and does not guarantee that any work will be procured under this Framework
