The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) provides national guidance and advice to improve health and social care. Details of our work programmes and examples of NICE guidance can be found on the NICE website. NICE wishes to recommission a Clinical Guidelines Technical Support Unit (CGTSU) to support its clinical guidelines programme. The CGTSU assists external development centres, internal developers and the NICE Centre for Clinical Practice (CCP) technical team to meet the needs of Clinical Guideline Committees, by supporting the guideline developers in their work. The CGTSU also has an important role in assisting in the development of methods for producing NICE clinical guidelines.
