SOFTWARE The validation standards to demonstrate that the mixture interpretation software outputs are as expected, given the model on which it is based. The routine operating quality checks required and data input considerations, including minimum standards for a profile to be considered suitable for interpretation. The validation standard should also identify the aspects pertinent to the software developer and end user roles. The contractor will be required to consult with experts in the field and members of the Regulator’s DNA Analysis Specialist Group (DNASG) and conduct a technical review of the initial draft to provide a finalised draft for review by the DNASG.
