Puffin Produce Ltd is Wales’ largest premier Potato and Vegetable packing firm. In order to maintain supply contracts with these leading retailers, Puffin Produce has been at the forefront of continuous development that includes expansion of its facilities and range to motivate increased sales and product marketability.Puffin Produce plan investment by further increasing scale, efficiency and infrastructure of their current potato operation. As such, they are currently developing a new 5 chamber cold storage unit.This invitation to tender is in request of quotes for a finished concrete internal Flooring Slab in the new potato cold storage facility. Loading specifications are detail below and we invite redesign from appropriate specialists to facilitate the best possible and most cost effective solution.The floor loading summary criteria as confirmed:•Sub Grade k Value 0.1167N/mm3 with 36.9% corresponding CBR value•UDL 40kN/m2•MHE Axle Load 6 TonneAccompanying this notice is a preliminary drawing for the ground floor slab for the cold store. We are unsure at this stage what the detail will be at the perimeter of the slab and the interaction with the wall cladding and kerb.
