Food Drink Ireland Skillnet is a network (funded by Skillnet Ireland) that develop learning interventions to support skills gaps for companies involved in the production and manufacturing of Food and Drink products in Ireland. The primary objective of the training requirement is to upskill Commercial teams across the Food and Drink industry (manufacturers and processors). Target trainees will include Commercial Directors, Key Account Managers, Sales Managers, Filed Sales Executives and other employees who need increased commercial capability skills. Trainees will be experienced professionals and will be servicing either the FMCG, Hospitality or Foodservice channels.Upskilling will need to address the fundamental skills required for high performance within current roles, along with specific learning interventions designed to address macro issues that affect the commercial aspects of food and drink businesses. Learning programmes required may include, but are not limited to the following areas:-National / Key Account Management-Managing a Sales Team-Customer Service / Telesales-Joint business plans-Food price inflation and negotiation price with buyers-Unfair Trading Practices Regulations and impact on commercial teams in food and drink sector. (sales and procurement)Programme may be delivered either in-person or online, so an understanding of how learners learn in an online environment must be demonstrated in the proposal.
