Descriptions
The main purpose of the Contract will be to replace communal front and rear entrance doors and supply and fix new secure remote access door entry systems to 10 Blocks 0f 6 Apartments and to enhance and improve lighting of communal areas. Contractors will be expected to demonstrate previous experience of design and implication of electrical installations using specialist products as appropriate for the works, the system will be required to interface with the existing control centre and may be extended to include other areasContractors will be expected to demonstrate how they make contributions to the local economy and support Community Involvement.Achievable targets for completionBron Afon Community Housing is committed to achieving economic, social and environmental well-being for its residents and implementing the Community Strategy so as to ensure a better quality of life for everyone, now and for generations to come. To achieve this it commits to the following actions to the fullest extent possible within the relevant legal and policy frameworks and the available funding:i) to consider what recruitment and training, equal opportunities and supply-chain opportunities could be obtained from each services contract ii) to include training, equal opportunities and recruitment requirements, and supply-chain opportunities in its service requirements, where it considers this appropriate;iii) to include other social and environmental matters in its service requirements, where it considers this appropriate; andiv) to use these requirements in all stages of the selection and contract award process, and as contract conditions.A minimum of 5 operators are envisaged to be invited to complete the ITT stage.The contract will be awarded to a maximum of 5 Contractors who qualify for the works. and will be awarded on a block for block basis based on terms and specifications as detailed in the ITT documents.
