To appoint an organisation with the capacity, skills and knowledge required to:•Provide a standardised, evidenced based programme for children who are overweight or obese and their parent(s)/carer(s)•Deliver accredited training to enable the programme to be delivered across Wales •Provide marketing and recruitment tools for delivery partners to use and provide advice and support on recruitment •Monitor and report on a set of indicators agreed with the client, including appropriate inputs, outputs and outcomesDeliver a programme which:•supports children who are overweight or obese to maintain weight •empowers families and children to sustain lifestyle changes and move towards maintenance of a healthier weight •improves health related outcomes:- increase in physical activity levels; reduction in sedentary behaviour; improved eating behaviour and quality of the child’s diet and reduced energy intake; improved emotional well beingTo enable delivery of a minimum of 135 intervention programmes for overweight /obese children and their families between April 2012 and March 2014. The awarding Authority reserves the right to request parent company and/or other guarantees of performance and financial liabilityPayment terms will be indicated in the contract documents.
