Descriptions
Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust (WWL) wish to commission 30 community beds (25 nursing and 5 Elderly Mentally Infirm — EMI beds) for all year round use (Lot 1), plus an additional 10 beds over the winter period (Lot 2). The intention is for the contract to start 1.7.2017 for Lot 1 and 1.10.2017 for Lot 2. The service will be provided within a care home environment within the Wigan Borough. The beds must be CQC registered and supported by nursing and hotel services. The service aims to provide additional WWL bed capacity and facilitate the seamless transfer of patients from the acute Trust to a more appropriate level of care.
