This is a VEAT notice for the award of an additional contract of 24 months to the incumbent provider. Community Healthcare Services are NHS Funded services for patients across a range of sites within Cheshire including acute hospitals and local venues. These services are currently provided by Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP) on behalf of Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT). The services are responsible for patient care including treatment of conditions across a range of specialties within the community., There is a need for assurance which will safely provide continuation of the service. Experience and knowledge is required to ensure adherence to NHS Community Services provision which could have a negative effect on patient experience and safety. The additional contractual term will allow for a thorough assessment to a future procurement and allow the commissioners sufficient time to undertake engagement with all stakeholders to inform a robust procurement process, which aims to award a new longer term contract whilst ensuring continuity of care for its patient population.
