Component Primary Block Framework.
Descriptions
This commission is to design and build a standardised component solution to suit all primary school blocks be they for all-through Primary, Junior or Infant or for a range of forms of entry (size of school). The framework will be delivered in 2 lots — 1 is for higher value, larger schemes (Lot 1) and the other is for lower value, smaller schemes (Lot 2). Lot 1 will include an initial 4 schemes of total value circa 12 000 000 GBP and the potential for further primary block schemes up to a total value of 45 000 000 GBP (inclusive of initial schemes). Lot 2 will include an initial 12 schemes up to a total value of 11 000 000 GBP which will be placed into 2 batches of equal number (Batch A and Batch B) and the potential for further primary block schemes up to a total value of 50 000 000 GBP (inclusive of initial schemes). The EFA intends to develop and apply the solution developed under this framework for use on future frameworks which will include the secondary school block programme.
