Descriptions
Quotations are requested from Conservation Architect (Grade I) led teams for conservation assessment and planning in relation to Drogheda's town defences (a National Monument in the care of Louth County Council). The outputs of this project are to be: a comprehensive condition survey of the upstanding sections of Drogheda's town walls; writing of Method Statements for submission as part of applications for Ministerial Consent for works (in 2023, 2024, 2025) on the three sections at greatest need of urgent intervention and tendering for these works (to inform the cost of applications to the CMF in future years).Bat and other ecological surveys may also be required and the team must include a member with expertise in such matters.The team may have to negotiate access to sections of the town wall on private land.
