Conservation of eight major pieces of artwork of national significance. *All require examination, but required work could include: •Onsite visit to inspect artwork (Essential prior to quotes being submitted) •Surface cleaning to remove ingrained dirt. •Removal of patchy varnish and poor-quality retouching •Removal of heavy, glossy varnish. •Make good old repair works. •Removal of leaching and treatment in those areas, followed by retouching previous damage as necessary. •May require varnishing with a non-yellowing varnish for future protection. •Each frame will require cleaning. •Some frames will require replacement of lost plaster work. •Canvas retention.
