Construction works to provide upgraded maternity and neonatal facilities for Barts Health NHS Trust. The works consist of refurbishment to owner occupied premises at Whipps Cross University Hospital throughout the ground, first and second floors of the building and will require new and adapted M&E building services installations. The completed accommodation will provide upgraded healthcare facilities to include obstetrics and midwifery led birthing suites, Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), outpatients antenatal services, window replacement throughout the building and improvements to clinical, administrative and core spaces. Areas not being developed within core works phases will be occupied throughout construction.The works will be fully designed and contract awarded under JCT (2016) standard with contractor's design portion for specialist and minor ancillary items.
