Consultancy Support in the Development of a Rural Strategy for Carlisle and Eden Districts

Carlisle City Council and Eden District Council Are seeking to appoint a Consultant to support the development of a rural strategy and action plan covering the two districts. The following services are required •Attendance at project team meetings (circa 8 meetings, bi-monthly) •Development of a baseline document for Rural Carlisle and Eden that will inform the development of the strategy and can be also be used for future monitoring and evaluation purposes. •Facilitation of an initial workshop with Eden and Carlisle members to scope out the vision and objectives of the Strategy •The development and implementation of a stakeholder engagement plan, including circa 4 workshop sessions (2 in each district) with resident and business communities to otest and provide feedback on the vision, objectives oprovide feedback on the draft strategy and action plan •The production of the rural strategy and action plan covering both Districts, with clear issues/opportunities identified and recommended actions for both Carlisle, Eden, separately for their respective areas, as well as joint priorities to be delivered in partnership.
