This contract ("the Contract") is for the provision of learning opportunities funded through the Adult Education Budget for adults aged 19+. Durham County Council's Adult Learning and Skills Service receive funding from the Skills Funding Agency for this provision. The Adult Learning & Skills Service is designated as the 'Provider' of this learning through provision that it secures by means of contracts with delivery organisations. Durham County Council's Adult Learning & Skills Service is pleased to encourage organisations to bid to deliver regulated funded qualifications listed for approval under the new Adult Education Budget (AEB). Bidders to the fund will be asked as part of their submission to design and cost appropriate accredited learning programmes up to Level 2 for learners across County Durham. Bidders can apply for this funding from October 2017 with delivery starting in December 2017; all delivery must be completed by 31st July 2018. The Council has a £170,000 budget for this funding opportunity of which Bidders can apply for up to a maximum of £50,000 inclusive of any management fee.
