Descriptions

The provision of facilities for the receipt, segregation, treatment and disposal of Bulky Waste from Special Uplifts Service and other similar services provided by other council departments, delivered by, or on behalf of the Council. This does not include items covered by the council's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Collections.The Council has made a commitment to a Community Benefits approach to procurement to ensure that the Council secures, in compliance with legal requirements, the maximum economic and social benefit for communities, community organisations and SMEs from capital investments and services being purchased by the Council.Accordingly contract performance conditions and evaluation criteria may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations.
