This contract is for Care and Support Services at Langley Mews — Recovery Focused Supported Accommodation (Mental Health).The proposed service at Langley Mews (Meadowfield) consists of a supported accommodation scheme for 18 adults who present with a range of more complex mental health issues. This opportunity is to provide a recovery focused model. From the perspective of the individual with mental illness, recovery means gaining and retaining hope, understanding of ones abilities and disabilities, engagement in an active life, personal autonomy, social identity, meaning and purpose in life, and a positive sense of self.It is the intention that Durham County Council will commission a recovery focused care service at Langley Mews. This will provide an outcome focused, needs led service which will prove to be cost effective.
