The aim of this tender opportunity is to reconnect the people with the landscape and potential of growing your own initiatives; learning about where food comes from and the importance of the landscape to these activities; the creation of a managed vegetable garden and fruit orchard; growing sustained traditional varieties specifically linked to Gower for future generationsThe tender offers four lots focusing on different aspects that all contribute to the main aim of contributing and celebrating the agricultural heritage of Gower.Contractors can tender per individual lot or for the entire 4 lots.Lot 1 – Establishment of a community network of volunteers – budget £5,000 (67% of this figure will be claimable from the Gower Landscape Partnership with the remaining 33% supplied by the successful contractor)Lot 2- Establish and implement an accredited horticultural training programme - £6,000 – (67% of this figure will be claimable from the Gower Landscape Partnership with the remaining 33% supplied by the successful contractor)Lot 3 - Heritage interpretation and information – budget £6,000 (67% of this figure will be claimable from the Gower Landscape Partnership with the remaining 33% supplied by the successful contractor)Lot 4 – Educational engagement – budget £4,000 (67% of this figure will be claimable from the Gower Landscape Partnership with the remaining 33% supplied by the successful contractor)NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=31512.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
