The City & County of Swansea require the services of a Steel lighting column structural testing engineer.In order to reduce the possibility of stock collapse but retain an economical stock replacement programme, the Engineer requires the stock to be Inspected & Tested for its structural integrity. This inspection and testing shall be to a standard upon which an economic but effective stock replacement is to be based.This tender document, supplementary to Institution of Lighting Engineers Guidance TR22 (2007 Edition 3), is intended to identify those inspection and testing parameters in a Non Destructive Testing (NDT) manner.The CONTRACTOR must be UKAS accredited for the structural testing of steel lighting columns.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=27369.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
