Contract for the operation of a Household Waste Recycling Centre in Lower Cwmtwrch

The Council invites suitably qualified and experienced contractors to tender to operate Lower Cwmtwrch Household Waste Recycling Centre at Bethal Road, Lower Cwmtwrch (Grid Reference 277318, 209453).The Facility will be provided by the Council and will accept household waste and recycling (including bulky waste), sort, store and transport these materials to reprocessors and/or licensed disposal sites.The emphasis within the contract will be to provide a high quality service to the public to ensure that Recycling and Re-use of materials is maximised. The Council has stringent statutory targets set by the Welsh Government and these contracts will be instrumental in ensuring that the Council meets these targets.The Council has obtained Planning Permission and the Environmental Permit and will transfer this to the successful Contractor following Contract Award. The provision of all plant and equipment necessary to the operation of the site will be the responsibility of the Contractor.
