Contract for the Provision of a Community Connection Service to Vulnerable Adults aged 18 years plus in East Lancashire
Descriptions
Lancashire County Council (the council) is inviting tenders for the provision of a Community Connection Service to vulnerable adults aged 18 years plus in East Lancashire (Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale, Ribble Valley and Hyndburn). Applications are invited from suitably qualified organisations to manage this contract, which will be awarded for a 9 month period with a maximum option to extend for a 12 month period. Lancashire County Council's Adult Services, Health and Well-being Directorate has allocated a maximum budget of £90,000 for the nine month period. It is expected that the contract will commence on 1st July 2015. Enabling local vulnerable adults to identify, capture and unleash their skills, experiences, knowledge and strengths and increase their connections within their local community can improve their health, well-being, confidence, self-esteem and resilience. Lancashire County Council is looking for an organisation with strong and proven experience in: • Effective partnership working, particularly with the third sector, health partners, and statutory organisations • Engaging and working with local vulnerable adults • Identifying, capturing and supporting vulnerable adults to unleash their assets • Recruiting, training and supporting volunteers. The council is of the opinion that TUPE is likely to apply.
